Great food! Warm Italian place with a family atmosphere. I recommend getting a few meatballs on the side, maybe even a few to go. I’ve ate at the Villa more than once and could never complain about one thing. Food comes out hot and is delicious. Employees treat you like you are a regular even if it’s your second visit.

I will continue eating at the Villa whenever I’m in Philadelphia again. Highly recommend.

Came here for a late dinner with friends last night and this place honestly made me a lover of Italian food again. For years I’ve simply thought it was overrated, but the eggplant parm, veal piccante, the mussels in red sauce, and the garlic spinach were absolutely incredible. Our server Mia was great and we had an incredible time! Can’t wait to bring family and friends here.

What can I say? A true Italian gem in the middle of the Italian Market??! Lunch was all I expected and more. I started with the caprese salad, at first I thought, way too much olive oil. No. Very tasty, seasoned well with crushed red peppers and the mozzarella…loved it! I had the ravioli with meatballs, and they were so good. The meatballs were the best I’ve had in a while.

Highly recommend if you want to sit and enjoy your meal instead of grabbing and going.

If you want authentic Italian this is the place. The meatballs and gravy are the best I’ve ever had! The same family has run the place since 1963, and couldn’t be nicer and treat you like family.

All I can tell you about how I feel about this South Philly joint is that I drive nearly 3 hours from Maryland to go eat Spaghetti and Meatballs!!! They are that good!!! I take a cooler with me and load it up with Gravy and Meatballs. We love it and the flavor of the meatballs that stays with you hours after eating, makes the drive back to Md much easier. The Cannoli is the real deal!! I am sure that the rest of the plates offered here are top notch also but I can’t resist the meatballs when I go. The cheesy garlic bread is awesome and makes for a great sopping with what’s left in the plate. I can tell you this, I ALWAYS return the plate as clean as it was before they cook plated up my dish to start with. Check it out and you won’t be disappointed.
